Special Education Teacher - New Oxford, PA

School Year:2024-2025 (Chance to extend longer)
Job Type: Full time; 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Caseload: K-12th;6 students in total
Caseload Type:Life Skills and Learning Support

Responsibilities:

  • Modifying curriculum and teaching methods to suit students' abilities.
  • Using assistive technology, visual aids, and hands-on activities to enhance learning.
  • Creating a structured and supportive learning environment.
  • Implementing behavior management plans when necessary.
  • Working with general education teachers to support inclusion in mainstream classrooms.
  • Partnering with speech therapists, occupational therapists, counselors, and other professionals to address diverse needs.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors or Masters in Special Education or related field.
  • Active Special Education licensein Pennsylvania (K-12th).
  • Active PA clearances.
  • Able to pass a background check and drug test.
  • Able to start within two weeks of offer.
