We are in need of a proficient PART TIME & REMOTE Full Charge Bookkeeper located in Denver, Colorado. In this role, you will have the responsibility of overseeing all general accounting functions, conducting regular audits, and managing payroll. You will also have a crucial role in maintaining our financial health and ensuring efficient reporting on grant expenditures. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Overseeing all general accounting functions, including accounts payables/receivables, general ledger, and taxes.
• Carrying out regular accounting activities such as bank and credit card account reconciliations.
• Conducting thorough monthly audits of all company books.
• Managing payroll information and maintaining related records.
• Administering grant accounting and ensuring efficient reporting on grant expenditures.
• Preparing regular financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Assisting in annual external audits when needed.
• Collaborating with the Finance Director to promote financial accountability and planning.
• Implementing correct accounting methods, policies, and principles.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or in a similar role• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services
• Knowledge of Computerized Accounting System
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Familiarity with Annual Budget preparation and management
• Skills in Cash Flow Analysis
• Experience with Audit, Audit Prep, and Audit Reviews
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
