Job Title: HR Generalist

Industry: Non-Profit
Location: 3-4 days remote and 1-2 days in office per week, based in Portland, OR
Duration: 2-5 month contract
Pay Rate: $30-$40 per hour DOE 

 

Job Summary: LHH Recruitment is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced HR Generalist to join our client's team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will focus on managing leaves, ensuring compliance, and handling employee relations. This role is hybrid, requiring 1-2 days in the office per week.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leave Management: Administer and manage employee leave programs, including FMLA, disability, and other leave policies. Ensure accurate tracking and documentation.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR best practices and legal requirements.

  • Employee Relations: Address employee concerns and grievances, conduct investigations, and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.

  • HR Administration: Assist with HR administrative tasks, including maintaining employee records, preparing reports, and supporting HR projects as needed.

  • Communication: Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries. Provide clear and timely communication to employees and management.



 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

  • 3+ years of experience in HR, with a focus on leave management, compliance, and employee relations.

  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

  • Proficiency in HRIS and other HR-related software.



Pay Details: $30.00 to $40.00 per hour
