Human Resources Business Partner for Sinclair Broadcast Group

About the Role:
As a Human Resources Business Partner at Sinclair Broadcast Group, you will play a key role in supporting the growth and success of our organization. We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our team as a Human Resources Business Partner. This is a unique opportunity to work with a leading media company that values its employees and provides opportunities for career growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- HR Generalist Functions: Collaborate with management teams to develop and implement human resources strategies that align with business objectives. Provide guidance on employment regulations, including FMLA, FLSA, ADAA, and EEO. Ensure compliance with these regulations in all aspects of recruitment and hiring.
- Employee Relations: Investigate employee complaints, provide support during difficult times, and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive issues. Develop and implement employee relations strategies to improve communication and engagement.
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Support the recruitment process by preparing job postings, offer letters, and pre-employment paperwork. Conduct background checks and ensure compliance with FCC/EEO regulations. Coordinate onboarding processes, present information and materials, and ensure completion of tasks within systems.
- Benefits Administration: Maintain working knowledge of company benefit plans and assist with Open Enrollment processes. Communicate with employees, manage audits, and resolve benefit-related issues.
- Reporting and Analytics: Assist leadership with routine reporting, such as overtime tracking, contract dates, and other relevant data. Interpret and apply company policies and procedures, as well as collective bargaining agreement terms.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field. At least 3 years of experience in HR generalist roles. Labor relations experience preferred.
- Demonstrated experience working with cloud-based HRIS software. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to handle confidential information and make sound judgments under pressure. Positive attitude, high level of commitment to job duties, and strong organizational and time management skills. Independent judgment to plan, organize, and prioritize workload. Professional experience in television broadcasting a plus.
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary of $70,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and more.
