TEMPORARY SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or economics highly desired
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and internal controls
  • 2+ years public accounting experience
  • 3+ years professional accounting experience
  • ERP experience a must
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Preparing and/or reviewing appropriate general ledger entries and reconciliations
  • Maintaining the general ledger system
  • Researching accounting issues for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Establishing and enforcing proper internal controls and accounting methods, policies and principles within the organization
  • Assist in the development and growth of the accounting/finance department
  • Assist and perform any necessary special projects as needed
  • Ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations
  • Maintain an up-to-date filing system
  • Report on financial status on a regular basis and create ad-hoc reports when needed
  • Prepare and post daily journal entries
  • Standardize and maintain accounting working papers
  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare complex journal entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document transactions

COMPENSATION: $38 - $40/hr with potential opportunity to convert to temp to hire with a raise
