Forklift Mechanic

- Conduct routine inspections of forklifts, skid-steers, and other machinery to identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot forklift problems, determining effective and efficient repair solutions.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication.
- Repair or replace faulty components, ensuring all safety features are functioning correctly.
- Collaborate with the parts department to order necessary replacement parts and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and guidelines while working on forklifts.
- Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities for documentation and analysis.
Qualifications
- Mechanic background, with experience in forklifts or industrial vehicles preferred (automotive background considered).
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in forklifts.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance and complex repairs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to safety standards and protocols.
- Ability to work collaboratively with parts departments and other team members.
- Good record-keeping skills for maintenance and repair documentation.
