Job DescriptionJob DescriptionLHH is working with a stable company that is going through a technology upgrade and is looking for a Payroll Specialist to assist them during this transition. Your main tasks will be processing weekly payroll and responding to employee inquiries. You will be fully trained and will work with a team, but you must have high attention to detail as some of the employees are in unions. You must be extremely accurate with the payroll and ensure that you are following contract terms. The team is looking for someone who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment and who has at least three years of payroll processing experience. 

Responsibilities:
  • Execute weekly payroll processing, including calculating wages, deductions, and bonuses. 
  • Ensure accurate and timely payment to employees.
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records, including changes in pay rates, deductions, and personal information.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax laws. 
  • Prepare and submit payroll reports, including tax filings, benefit contributions, and internal reports for management.
  • Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries related to pay, benefits, and deductions.
  • Additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications: 
  • At least three years of payroll processing experience.
  • Knowledge of union payroll is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and able to conduct yourself with a high level of discretion.
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment. 
Employment Details:
  • Temporary for six months.
  • Fully onsite for training, opportunity to have a hybrid schedule after training.
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. 


Pay Details: $36.00 to $38.00 per hour
