Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Control Technician/Inspector. The role involves performing qualitative and quantitative chemical and physical analyses on raw materials and finished products, along with visual and dimensional inspections. You will maintain product quality by establishing and enforcing standards and perform inspections according to drawings, specifications, and work instructions.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct chemical and physical analysis on raw materials and finished products.
  • Develop and maintain calibration systems for all measurement equipment (e.g., scales, viscometers, torque wrenches).
  • Assess and ensure conformance of incoming materials and finished products.
  • Review product certificates of analysis for accuracy and maintain proper documentation.
  • Inspect incoming raw materials and in-process manufactured parts.
  • Quarantine and disposition nonconforming materials and products.
  • Write instrument calibration specifications and procedures.
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections based on released drawings and specifications.
  • Maintain work order history and perform daily 5S activities.
  • Interface effectively with internal departments and customers.
  • Follow laboratory safety practices and ensure proper use of PPE.
  • Monitor stock levels and order lab supplies as needed.
  • Identify and report non-conforming materials and products.
  • Complete daily tasks in accordance with company policies, safety rules, and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry preferred for Quality Control Tech role; High School diploma or GED required for Inspector role.
  • Previous experience in Quality Control at a chemical facility or within the automotive industry is a plus. Experience in adhesives, coatings, and manufacturing environments is advantageous. Previous QA or injection molding experience in an ISO-regulated environment is also preferred.
  • Expertise with Brookfield Viscometers, Specific Gravity, Torque, Shear Strength, Tensile Strength, Shore Hardness, Kaizen, and 5S.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and basic math skills.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Knowledge of SPC (Statistical Process Control) and color acuity.
