Position: Quality Assurance Specialist – Night Shift
Schedule: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in upholding the quality and safety standards of our finished products.
Shift Differential is available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess finished goods for quality and compliance, conducting necessary analyses as per product specifications.
- Report any quality concerns to Production Supervisors, Managers, and the Quality Control Manager.
- Document all testing results and batch data in the I-Series (AS400) and maintain compliance records.
- Oversee line equipment for operational efficiency, safety, and cleanliness.
- Conduct checks on metal detectors, magnets, and scales, along with critical control point and GMP audits.
- Assist in investigations related to foreign materials and product discrepancies.
- Perform batch setup verifications, assist in adjustments, and record any inconsistencies.
- Place products on hold when necessary and release them when appropriate.
- Reject products as needed and complete rejection documentation, including root cause and corrective action analysis.
- Evaluate allergen cleanout effectiveness as required.
- Conduct Pre-Operational audits when necessary, especially after maintenance activities.
- Perform production scale checks and calibrate lab equipment according to the established schedule.
- Collect microbiological samples as needed and manage micro hold products.
- Carry out special assignments as directed by the Quality Control Manager.
- Maintain the retain sample area and control sample files.
- Adhere to all GMPs and Safety Procedures.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in quality control or assurance, preferably in food manufacturing.
- Proficient in using quality control analysis tools.
- Must possess the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Strong mathematical and computer skills, including data processing.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
- Capability to climb ladders to access work platforms.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Flexibility to work overtime and/or weekends as required.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without assistance.
