Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Quality Control Inspector to join our Erlanger, KY team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the airworthiness of aircraft maintenance work, maintaining high standards of aeronautical workmanship, and contributing to company safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform inspection functions for aircraft, including power plant, materials parts, and sub-assemblies.
  • Review aircraft and engine logbooks, listing pilot reports and deferred maintenance items on work cards.
  • Conduct airframe and engine inspections during routine checks, and perform buy-back inspections on major items or non-routine work items.
  • Inspectors must be familiar with inspection methods, techniques, and equipment, and maintain proficiency in the use of inspection aids.
  • Responsible for identifying, controlling, segregating, and maintaining stock and tools.
  • Monitor aircraft inspection records and forms to ensure proper completion of entries.
  • Inspectors will find and record discrepancies requiring corrective action, and identify Required Inspection Items (RII) as defined by the customer's General Maintenance Manual (GMM) or Operation Procedures Manual.
  • Inspectors will check work performed by technicians for conformity to acceptable technical and workmanship standards, and signify approval by stamping or signing the inspection form.
Requirements
  • FAA A&P certificate required.
  • Minimum three years' experience in an aviation maintenance environment.
  • Knowledge/experience of 14 CFR Part 145 & 121 operations and environment.
  • Must be willing to work irregular schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays when required.
  • Must be a US citizen or hold a green card (form I551).
Preferred Qualifications
  • General Familiarization on B757, B767, B747, and Airbus 330.
  • Experience with Quality Control, inspection techniques, document control, corrective and preventative actions, continuous improvement, risk management, and supplier reviews.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to set and meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with constantly shifting priorities.
  • Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Possess a high degree of proficiency with MS Office products (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work under adverse conditions in a production/aircraft maintenance environment.
