We are seeking an experienced Program Director (Licensed Administrator) to lead an inpatient psychiatric health facility. This position is responsible for the overall management of the facility, ensuring regulatory compliance and delivering high-quality patient care. Reporting to the Regional Director of Operations, the Program Director will oversee a multidisciplinary team, fostering a supportive and effective program culture.

This role is ideal for a seasoned leader with a strong background in inpatient psychiatric services and a passion for making a positive impact in mental health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations, maintaining compliance with state and local regulations and quality assurance standards.
  • Lead strategic planning to drive program effectiveness and continuous improvement.
  • Manage budgets, including fiscal planning and cost control, in collaboration with corporate leadership.
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with State/County agencies, community partners, and internal departments.
  • Ensure healthy staffing patterns, directing recruitment, onboarding, training, and supervision of clinical and operational staff.
  • Act as a culture carrier, promoting an inclusive, empowering leadership style.
  • Supervise two direct reports (Clinical Director and Director of Nursing) and manage a team of 20 FTEs.

Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s degree in Social Services or a related field (LMFT, LPCC, LCSW) with a current California license.
  • Experience:
    • 4+ years in a healthcare management role, specifically in an inpatient psychiatric setting.
    • 2+ years supervising professional staff, with experience in budgeting, program planning, and regulatory compliance.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
