We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper in Middletown, Connecticut, United States. As a Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in managing financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments. Your work will involve ensuring that all transactions are recorded accurately and promptly.


Responsibilities:

• Handle the gathering and sorting of financial documents and related information.

• Verify the accuracy of transactions and ensure they are correctly recorded.

• Manage the process of preparing and authorizing payments.

• Take responsibility for preparing and scanning invoices.

• Monitor and record all incoming payments from customers.

• Follow up on unpaid invoices and late payments.

• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies.

• Use QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel for data entry and account reconciliation.

• Handle the monthly end close process.

• Manage payroll and accounts payable and receivable.

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations
• Proven knowledge in Bookkeeping
• Ability to perform Data Entry tasks efficiently
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel
• Experience in Month End Close procedures
• Knowledge in managing Payroll
• Proficiency in QuickBooks software
