Assembler / Machine Builder

We are seeking skilled assemblers/machine builders to join our team in Evansville. You will be responsible for assembling and building custom fuel handling systems. This includes reading blueprints and using basic hand tools to fully assemble equipment, ranging from standard gas pumps to large-scale industrial pumping and storage systems. You will work closely with the production manager, shop lead, engineers, welders, and electricians to ensure all mechanical components meet specifications. All work will be completed in our Evansville shop.
Hard Skills- Read blueprints to understand mechanical layout
- Utilize hand tools and fasteners for assembly
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Basic installation of wiring (if experienced)
- Knowledge of electrical schematics (if experienced)
- Effective communication with team members
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Attention to detail for verifying specifications
- Ability to document actions and maintain records
This is a small job shop facility, climate controlled in the assembly department. The shop is fairly clean, though some areas like the welding and powder coat/paint shops may not be.
Shifts are from 7:30 AM to 4 PM, Monday to Friday, with 1-2 Saturdays per month. Candidates should be prepared to work 50-55 hours per week and must be open to 10-20 hours of overtime per week.
