Key responsibilities include:

  • Operating all types of tools essential to the job, including brake test machines, light testers, and wrenches.
  • Monitoring the trailer assembly line and sub-assembly areas, identifying any issues or defects.
  • Verifying conformance to company and customer standards, and recording acceptance or rejection decisions.
  • Assisting in the initiation of corrective action in the event of sub-standard quality levels.
  • Maintaining communication with assembly line managers, informing them of any out-of-specification conditions.
  • Submitting daily reports on the status of units leaving the sub-assembly and final assembly line.
