Toolmaker Apprentice/Journeyman

**Job Summary**

Berry Global is seeking a skilled Toolmaker Apprentice/Journeyman to join our team in the Tool Shop facility. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for constructing, refurbishing, and repairing mold components using manual or CNC machines.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Use caution and support facility systems to ensure a safe working environment.
• Respond to emergencies and potential emergencies following established procedures.
• Observe, respond, and report any instances of product, service, or quality systems non-conformity.
• Perform security diligence, including maintaining control of key cards and preventing unauthorized entry to facilities.
• Successfully complete primary duties as outlined in 4.0 and associated training.
• Pause activity and notify the Safety lead in case of potentially unsafe work environments or employee and supplier practices.
• Initiate action to prevent occurrences of non-conformity of product, service, or quality systems.
• Assemble and check all types and styles of injection or blow molds.
• Operate assigned manual or CNC machine(s).
• Use precision measuring tools to accurately record dimensions of components.
• Assist superiors in day-to-day activities.
• Maintain cleanliness of the shop.
• Work overtime as needed.
• Build skills to hold tight tolerances in efficient time.
• Increase understanding of Tooling blueprints.

**Requirements**

• High school education or GED equivalent.
• Able to accurately read blueprints.
• Ability to climb on and off a forklift safely and without assistance.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift in high-traffic, low-clearance areas without posing a safety risk to others.
• Ability to push/pull loads of approximately 75 lbs at a minimum of 10 times per day/shift.
• Able to stand/walk for 7.5 hours of an 8-hour shift.
