Medical Receptionist

Job Description
We are currently partnering with an urgent care in West Michigan looking to add Medical Receptionists to their team. This role offers hands-on experience in an urgent care setting with significant opportunities for growth.
Responsibilities- Prepare the clinic for opening each day by reviewing the facility, opening all systems applications, and preparing new patient registration packets and required documents.
- Greet patients, provide initial paperwork, and obtain copies of insurance and identification cards.
- Register patients, update patient records, verify insurance accurately and timely, and check patients out.
- Respond promptly to customer needs, provide excellent customer service, assist patients with follow-up appointments, and fulfill medical documentation requests.
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Experience working as a Medical Receptionist.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong skills in patient records management, patient scheduling, and insurance verification.
- Excellent customer service and patient access skills.
- Experience with front desk and patient registration tasks.
The role is set in an urgent care clinic environment, operating on a first shift basis, offering 36 hours per week over three 12-hour shifts. This setting provides ample opportunities for hands-on experience and professional growth.
