We are in search of a Patient Service Representative to join our client's team in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This role provides a long-term contract employment opportunity in the healthcare industry, where you will be primarily responsible for responding to patient inquiries, managing patient appointments, and maintaining accurate records. Your main objective will be to provide exceptional service to our patients and ensure smooth operations within our medical office.


Responsibilities:

• Accurately process patient information and update electronic medical records

• Respond efficiently to patient inquiries via phone, ensuring their concerns and needs are addressed

• Coordinate appointments for patients, ensuring a seamless scheduling process

• Handle incoming calls from medical offices regarding new referrals, and route calls as necessary

• Triage incoming calls from patients needing medication refills, wanting to speak to providers, and other related requests

• Assist healthcare providers who are unable to access information in the electronic medical record system

• Perform administrative office tasks as needed, including data entry and document management

• Ensure all patient interactions and transactions are conducted in a professional and respectful manner

• Continuously update knowledge of our processes and systems to provide accurate information to patients

• Collaborate with the rest of the healthcare team to ensure a high standard of patient service is maintained.

• Must have a minimum of one year of experience in a similar role
• Proficient in answering inbound calls and coordinating appointments
• Experience with administrative office tasks and data entry is required
• Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
• Ability to handle patient appointments and authorizations effectively
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong organization and multitasking abilities
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Must be able to handle sensitive information confidentially
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to handle patient inquiries professionally
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite are essential.
