Job Description

The person in this role will build assemblies, sub-assemblies, panels, and components for automated equipment. They will be working on the manufacturing floor, which is very clean and well-lit. The equipment is used in the manufacturing of medical devices, or aerospace and nuclear industries.

Responsibilities
  • Follow step-by-step instructions to connect and assemble components, both mechanically and electrically.
  • Perform mechanical assemblies of machines, sub-assemblies, and build machines from print.
  • Test and troubleshoot components using volt meters.
  • Use a Bill of Materials (BOM) and schematic to identify potential problems and organize by assembly.
  • Assist or supervise machine 'power up'.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in machine, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated equipment building OR an AAS degree in automation and robotics, power and fluid, or as an electronic technician.
  • 3+ years of experience working from mechanical and electrical schematics, prints, or diagrams.
  • 1+ year of experience in troubleshooting and testing using volt meters.
  • Willingness to train and learn in other areas.

Work Environment

The work environment includes clean room or clean space manufacturing, with well-lit, temperature-controlled facilities. The shift is from 7 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with flexibility to start an hour earlier or later if needed after training.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shoreview, Minnesota.
