Drafter Position

Job Summary:

Champion Home Builders, Inc. is seeking a skilled Drafter to create detailed construction drawings and designs for homes. The ideal candidate will have experience with AutoCAD software and a strong understanding of commercial and residential building codes in the US.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create designs from rough sketches, drawings, specifications, and other engineering data received from Sales and customers.
• Draft detailed construction drawings and installations such as walls, roofs, floors, plumbing, water, electrical, cabinets, gas lines, duct prints, foundations elevations, etc.
• Use computer-assisted design (CAD) equipment and software to create detail drawings.
• Confer with Production and Quality Control staff to resolve design details or problems.
• Lay out, redesign, and modify home arrangement, and interconnections components and systems.
• Utilize knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and other physical sciences to complete drawings.

Requirements:

• Associates degree from a two-year college or technical school which includes advance training in AutoCAD or two to five years' work experience using the AutoCAD software.
• AutoCAD software experience using 2015 or higher.
• Microsoft Office Suite.
• Team Player.
• Quick Learner.
