Job Title: Certified Surgical Technician

About the Role:

The Certified Surgical Technician will play a vital role in the operating room, working closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the smooth execution of surgical procedures. This is a demanding yet rewarding position that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and handling instruments and equipment with precision.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies, ensuring they are in good working order and meet the highest standards of sterility.
  • Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care, ensuring that patients are comfortable and prepared for surgery.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure that all necessary equipment and supplies are available and in good working order.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including surgical site and patient verification, and participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and quality of care.
Requirements:
  • Certified Surgical Technician (CST) certification required.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
  • Experience in a surgical setting preferred.
