About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team in the CVOR department at Ascension Sacred Heart Bay in Panama City, Florida.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.
  • Prepare the surgical operating suite with sterile drapes and solutions, as well as appropriate sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.
  • Hand required/requested instruments and supplies to the surgeon during surgery.
  • Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients.
  • Maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitor/track instrument counts throughout procedures.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience, or Associate's degree/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 year of CVOR experience.
