We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team in the Cardiovascular Operating Room at Ascension Sacred Heart Bay. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.
Responsibilities- Facilitate the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.
- Prepare the surgical operating suite with sterile drapes and solutions, as well as appropriate sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.
- Hand required/requested instruments and supplies to the surgeon during surgery.
- Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients.
- Maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitor/track instrument counts throughout procedures.
- BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date.
- One or more of the following: Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
- 1 year of CVOR experience.
