Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our team at Coastal Tides Surgical Center. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Operative Preparation: Assist in preparing the operating room for procedures, including setting up equipment and supplies.
  • Instrumentation and Supply Management: Maintain and manage surgical instruments and supplies, ensuring they are properly cleaned, sterilized, and stored.
  • Patient Care: Provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and their families, ensuring a compassionate and respectful environment.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Collaborate with the surgical team, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses, to ensure seamless communication and coordination during procedures.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and serviced, adhering to manufacturer instructions and facility policies.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Accurately document patient information, surgical procedures, and any issues or concerns that arise during procedures.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: High school diploma or equivalent required; certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist or in a related field.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; attention to detail and ability to multitask.
