Job Title: Chaplain (Per Diem, 0 hr)

Trinity Health is seeking a skilled Chaplain to provide spiritual care to patients, residents, and families in a per diem capacity. As a Chaplain, you will work closely with the healthcare team to address the spiritual needs of those served.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement programs to promote healthy communities and facilitate the inclusion of faith leaders in the provision of spiritual care.
  • Provide transformative spiritual care experiences to patients, residents, and visitors, ensuring that their religious beliefs and practices are respected and honored.
  • Assess religious and spiritual needs, provide interventions or referrals as needed, and document professional spiritual care assessments and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure that spiritual care is integrated into the total healing process.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Theology, Religion, Spiritual Care, or Spirituality, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One to three years of spiritual care experience, including a minimum of one clinical unit of ACPE training, is required.
  • Board Certified Chaplain (BCC) is strongly preferred via one of the following licensing groups: APC, CASC, NACC, and NAJC.
  • Ability to plan, develop, and implement programs to meet the spiritual needs of patients and families.
