Job Summary

As a key member of our Construction Management Team, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections of contractor operations to verify conformance to plans and specifications.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise and mentor subordinate inspection staff to ensure effective project execution.
  • Quantity Measurement: Accurately measure and track quantities of pay items to ensure accurate project billing.
  • Document Management: Gather and maintain record documents, including material certifications, testing reports, and inspector's daily diaries.
  • Communication: Interact with various stakeholders, including the public, government agencies, contractors, and subcontractors, to respond to inquiries and resolve field issues.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Survey Technology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Experience: Seven years of progressive technician-level experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certifications: Active driver's license, NCDOT certifications (Concrete Field Technician, QMS Roadway Technician, and Conventional Density Testing) preferred.
  • Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to analyze and interpret highway construction plans, and experience applying engineering concepts to solve complex problems.
Working Conditions

Work is performed in the field, requiring extensive bending, kneeling, standing, shoveling, and lifting of objects weighing up to 25 lbs. Work may be conducted in various weather conditions.
