Job Title: Transportation Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Transportation Supervisor is a key role within Global Search Network, responsible for leading and optimizing the Transportation department to meet the company's priorities of Safety, People, Quality, Customer Service, and Cost Management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop, and mentor the transportation team to foster a positive and team-oriented environment.
  • Meet or exceed transportation goals and objectives.
  • Ensure a superior customer service environment.
  • Create effective dispatch schedules to meet customers' needs and maximize driver efficiency.
  • Manage fleet maintenance programs.
  • Work with and coordinate third-party carriers as necessary, developing relationships to ensure reliable service.
  • Foster a safety-first atmosphere, emphasizing the protection of company assets and preventing injuries.
  • Optimize backhaul opportunities.
  • Ensure proper training of new hires and ongoing training of current employees.
  • Maintain compliance with DOT regulations, including hours of service, vehicle maintenance, and driver safety standards.

Requirements:

  • Transportation experience and a solid understanding of logistics.
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License.
  • Knowledge of logistics in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience dealing with commercial vehicles.
  • Minimum two years of experience in a management or leadership role.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some weekend and holiday responsibilities.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, TEAMS).
  • Excellent prioritizing, organizing, and decision-making skills.
  • Dynamic communication skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels of management and personnel.

  • Operational knowledge, with a solid understanding of DOT regulations and E-Log compliance.
