Job Overview

Position Summary

This position is responsible for the creation and upkeep of both 3D and 2D automated models and schematics of engineering components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute engineering and production modifications within the design automation software
  • Analyze and interpret engineering schematics and technical documentation
  • Develop component models based on engineering specifications within the design automation software
  • Design and sustain design automation models according to outlined requirements
  • Conduct testing and troubleshooting of automation content outputs from the design automation software
  • Assist in the enhancement of the design automation software and its associated interfaces
  • Contribute to the development of design validation models and configurations for new product initiatives
  • Support engineering and customer service teams in drafting configuration rules pertinent to design automation

Experience Requirements

  • A minimum of four years of experience with 3D modeling software (Solidworks is preferred)
  • Proficient in PLM/PDM software such as Windchill, SolidWorks PDM, ENOVIA Smarteam, etc.
  • Knowledgeable about the engineering design and development process within a manufacturing context
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Educational Qualifications

Minimum of an associate or technical degree, or equivalent education and professional experience.
