Role Overview:
The Patient Care Support Specialist within the Float Pool at MultiCare plays a vital role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional healthcare services to patients and their families. This position involves close collaboration with registered nurses and physicians, making it an excellent entry point into the nursing profession.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist registered nurses and physicians in providing patient care
- Conduct dressing changes, gather data, maintain documentation, and monitor vital signs
- Exhibit a service-oriented mindset, professionalism, and strong decision-making abilities
- Effectively prioritize tasks and demonstrate flexibility in organizational duties
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant in Washington State
- Enrollment in an accredited RN program is acceptable in lieu of certification; Nurse's Assistant registration is required for students
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Preferred: One year or more of experience in patient care
