Job Title: Intake Specialist I

The Center for Elders Independence (CEI) is seeking a highly skilled Intake Specialist I to join our team. As a key member of our enrollment team, you will play a critical role in introducing participants to our comprehensive healthcare model and ensuring a seamless enrollment process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Navigate the intake/enrollment process and introduce participants to their designated center IDT for capitation.
  • Work with the Enrollment Development Representative (EDR) to increase PACE program membership and drive overall census growth.
  • Discuss and explain participant rights prior to enrollment into the PACE Program.
  • Manage participant enrollments and serve as the central point person for enrollment-related activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure timely enrollment and compliance with state, federal, and company-specific requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business administration, or a related field of study.
  • Healthcare experience and a thorough understanding of medical terminology and the healthcare reimbursement space (Medicare, Medi-Cal).
  • Excellent customer service and service recovery skills.
  • Strong case management skills and ability to work closely with cross-functional team members.
  • Proficiency with computer applications, including spreadsheets, word processing, and Customer Relationship Management (Salesforce).
  • Excellent decision-making ability, customer service, negotiation, and sales skills.
  • Ability to work in a high-stressed, high-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Bilingual preferred: English/Spanish; English/Cantonese or Mandarin Chinese; English/Vietnamese or other.
