About the Position

We are seeking a highly qualified individual to join our faculty as a tenure track professor of nursing at the University of New Mexico. This is a full-time, 12-month appointment that offers a competitive salary and outstanding benefits package.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain an extramurally funded program of research/scholarship that aligns with the College of Nursing and the UNM Health Science Center.
  • Teach, mentor, and advise students across CON educational programs with a focus on PhD courses.
  • Student oversight and providing service to the College, University, and the profession as deemed appropriate with rank and expertise.
Qualifications
  • PhD or Research Doctorate in Nursing or a related field.
  • Evidence of scholarly activities, including published manuscripts, research presentations, and research funding commensurate with appointed rank.
  • A commitment to working and collaborating with diverse students, faculty, and communities.
  • Eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse in New Mexico.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A demonstrated record of teaching experience.
  • History of extramural research funding.
  • Potential for achieving R01 funding or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.
