Event Operations Assistant

Job Summary:
As an Event Operations Assistant at Seton Hall University, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of events in Bethany Hall and the University Center. Your primary responsibility will be to set up events in a timely and organized manner, while providing exceptional customer service to campus and community partners and guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up all events taking place within Student Services spaces, including setup and breakdown of event spaces and handling of basic audio/visual requests.
- Responsible for opening and closing the building, as well as completing frequent rounds to ensure safety and cleanliness.
- Work closely with the Building Manager to report and rectify problems or concerns affecting daily operations.
- Provide consistent and excellent customer service to all campus and community partners and guests.
- Perform tasks such as being friendly and observant, answering questions, giving directions, and running on-campus errands.
Requirements:
- Must be enrolled as a student at Seton Hall University.
- Ability to assist in lifting equipment up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to work some nights and weekends.
- Reliability, dependability, and attention to detail are essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in retail, hospitality, event services/management, audio/visual technology, or customer service environments is a plus.
