Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Retail Department Supervisor to join our team at HomeGoods. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards, ensuring Associates are processing efficiently and effectively, and working as a team to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead by example, demonstrating exceptional customer service and promoting a positive internal and external customer experience
  • Orchestrate truck delivery, prioritizing the processing of merchandise onto the sales floor and ensuring efficient flow of goods to sales floor
  • Train and mentor Associates on established merchandising and processing principles, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to succeed in their roles
  • Monitor productivity of team and coach as necessary, ensuring tasks and activities are completed according to store plan
  • Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment, maintaining all organizational, cleanliness and recovery standards for the backroom area
  • Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities, providing progress updates and recognizing achievements
  • Partner with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness and ensure adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
  • Promote credit and loyalty programs, supporting and participating in store shrink reduction goals and programs
  • Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment, adhering to all company policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
  • Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Capable of multi-tasking and responding appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations
  • Team player, working effectively with peers and supervisors
  • Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Able to train others and demonstrate leadership skills
  • 1 year retail and 6 months of leadership experience
