Job Overview
This role acts as a Project Material Supervisor for small-scale Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, and Construction (EPFC) initiatives or may function as a regional authority for non-project procurement activities.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and oversee a significant portion of the purchasing or regional indirect procurement operations, or manage the purchasing, expediting, or field purchasing functions on a project.
Develop or assist in the creation of purchasing, expediting, or field purchasing strategies for projects or regional non-project procurement.
Conduct material procurement, expediting, or field purchasing tasks in alignment with the corporate Operating System Requirements (OSR) and established project or Material Management Plans, policies, and procedures.
Provide direct supervision to the purchasing, expediting, and other support personnel as assigned.
Responsible for the execution, management, and oversight of the Material Management Work Process utilizing the approved Corporate Reference Tool for Material Management to fulfill project needs and timelines.
Engage in negotiations or assist in negotiating complex equipment and bulk material packages to secure optimal value for the project.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in a relevant field of study and eight (8) years of related work experience, or a combination of education and directly related experience totaling twelve (12) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications to comply with local requirements.
Effective communication skills with various audiences, including management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
Technical knowledge pertinent to the job responsibilities.
Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national regulations and guidelines.
Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently within time constraints.
Preferred Qualifications
Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
Pursuing relevant professional certifications or licenses.
Experience primarily in material management.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficient computer skills.
Demonstrated leadership and decision-making abilities.
