At ManTech International Corporation, we're seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer to join our team in Hanover, MD. As a key member of our systems engineering team, you'll work on innovative projects that drive national security and offer opportunities for advancement.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing, maintaining, testing, and enhancing complex software systems based on documented requirements.
  • Reviewing and testing software components for adherence to design requirements and documenting test results.
  • Resolving software problem reports using software development and design methodologies.
  • Providing input to software components of system design, including hardware/software trade-offs and requirements analysis.
  • Analyzing user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
  • Developing software solutions by analyzing system performance standards and conferring with users or system engineers.
  • Confer with system engineers and hardware engineers to derive software requirements and obtain information on project limitations and capabilities.
  • Providing recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.
  • Assisting with developing and executing test procedures for software components.
  • Integrating existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
  • Developing simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories.
  • Designing or implementing complex database or data repository interfaces/queries.
  • Developing or implementing algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards.
  • Designing, developing, and modifying software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models.
  • Implementing recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.
  • Overseeing one or more software development teams and ensuring work is completed in accordance with software development process constraints.
  • Coordinating software system installation and monitoring equipment functioning to ensure operational specifications are met.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university and fourteen (14) years of experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, four (4) years of additional experience on projects with similar scope may be substituted.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Current and active TS/SCI with polygraph.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
