Job Summary

ManTech International Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Software Developer to join our team in Hanover, MD. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, testing, and enhancing complex software systems based on documented requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Software Development: Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, conferring with users or system engineers, analyzing systems flow, data usage, and work processes, and investigating problem areas.

  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Review and test software components for adherence to design requirements and document test results.

  • Problem Resolution: Resolve software problem reports using software development and design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.

  • System Design: Provide specific input to the software components of system design, including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS)/Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level.

  • Collaboration: Confer with system engineers and hardware engineers to derive software requirements and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces.

  • Process Improvement: Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.

  • Test Planning and Execution: Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components.

  • Integration: Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.

  • Database Development: Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories.

  • Database Interface Development: Design or implement complex database or data repository interfaces/queries.

  • Algorithm Development: Develop or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards.

  • System Design and Development: Design, develop, and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.

  • Team Leadership: Oversee one or more software development teams and ensure the work is completed in accordance with the constraints of the software development process being used on any particular project.

  • System Installation and Monitoring: Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure operational specifications are met.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university.

  • Experience: Fourteen (14) years of experience in software development, with a minimum of four (4) years of experience on projects with similar scope.

  • Security Clearance: Current and active TS/SCI with polygraph.

  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
