About the Role

Cipher Tech Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Software/Web Developer to join our team. As a key member of our digital forensics and malware reverse engineering team, you will play a critical role in supporting mission-critical work in the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain web applications and software tools to support digital forensics and malware reverse engineering efforts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement software solutions
  • Analyze and reverse engineer malware to understand its behavior and communication protocols
  • Develop and maintain digital forensics tools to extract and process evidence from various digital media
  • Participate in the design and implementation of software applications to support federal and military law enforcement, counter intelligence, and counter terrorist activities
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Math, or Physics
  • US citizenship required
  • US government security clearance at the Secret level or higher
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in software development and digital forensics
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as PHP, Java, Python, NodeJS, C#, and JavaScript
  • Experience with web services, client applications, plugins, and scripts
  • Strong working knowledge of software documentation, source code versioning, unit testing, and maintainable software processes
Desirable Qualifications
  • Familiarity with assembly languages, digital forensics, hex editors, and the Windows API
  • Experience with IDA Pro, protocol analysis, malware analysis, and reverse engineering
  • Rudimentary understanding of network architecture and networked programs
  • Experience with secure programming for web application development
