Job Overview

Position Summary

The Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in the development, monitoring, and reporting of capital expenditures across the organization. This includes managing capital support purchase requests, tracking capital investments, and forecasting customer premise equipment needs alongside demand models.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide financial assistance for corporate and market operations, encompassing reporting, analysis, and monthly closing tasks.
- Act as the primary corporate liaison for all capital-related inquiries, frequently collaborating with the accounting and purchasing teams to address any issues.
- Support the monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes, which involve capital assumption development, model creation, training for market personnel, consolidations, and reviews.

Essential Duties

- Analyze financial statements, direct costs, and SG&A expenses by examining month-to-date (MTD) and year-to-date (YTD) variances against budget and forecasts.
- Lead the preparation and consolidation of monthly and quarterly commission payments for the sales team.
- Develop and maintain detailed account analyses and roll forwards of P&L accounts for monthly review during the financial statement process.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and monthly/quarterly forecasts.
- Conduct ad hoc projects as required to analyze financial data.
- Collaborate with team members and business leaders to establish and comprehend capital metrics.
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure the accuracy of source data and subsequent reporting.
- Work with various operational department heads to gain insights into their operations for enhanced forecasting and expense management.
- Understand existing policies and procedures between operations and accounting, recommending efficiency improvements as necessary.
- Utilize accounting software effectively to analyze financial data.

- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Experience and Education

- Minimum of 3 years in an accounting or financial role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Familiarity with financial software such as Hyperion, Great Plains, and Host Analytics (Planful) is preferred.
