Job Title: Staff Accountant

Elmington is seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our financial team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of professional level accounting duties, including preparing, maintaining, analyzing, verifying, and reconciling financial transactions, statements, records, and reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly draw packages for funding requests for projects under development
  • Preparation of monthly financials for projects under development
  • Documents financial transactions by entering account information
  • Substantiates financial transactions by sending auditing documents
  • Develop an intimate knowledge of the portfolio
  • Reconciles monthly bank statements and has responsibility for cash management
  • Maintains investor confidence and protects operations by maintaining confidentiality
  • Assists with year-end reporting including, but not limited to annual filings, audits, and tax returns
  • Maintains financial security by following internal controls and promoting ethical environment

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (or degree in business with relatable experience)
  • CPA certification not required

Work Environment:

  • Frequently sit, stand and walk
  • Regularly required to talk or hear
  • Frequently required to use hands or fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Vision abilities to include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus
  • Strong commitment to coming into the office at least 4 days a week
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
  • Temperature in the work place is typically moderate
