Registered Veterinary Technician, Ophthalmology Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team at Ethos Veterinary Health. As a key member of our ophthalmology department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our practice.
Key Responsibilities- Assist Veterinarians: Collaborate with our board-certified ophthalmologists to perform examinations, surgeries, and treatments.
- Patient Care: Provide compassionate and personalized care to patients before, during, and after procedures.
- Diagnostic Procedures: Conduct thorough tests to assess eye health and function, and provide accurate results to our veterinarians.
- Surgical Support: Assist during eye surgeries and ensure proper post-operative care to promote optimal patient outcomes.
- Client Education: Educate pet owners about eye conditions, treatments, and follow-up care to ensure they are well-informed and empowered to make informed decisions about their pet's health.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration among our team members.
- Instrument Maintenance: Ensure that all ophthalmic equipment is clean, functional, and properly maintained to prevent any disruptions to our services.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly and effectively in urgent situations, such as eye injuries or acute conditions, to provide timely and compassionate care to our patients.
- A current RVT license in California with 2+ years of clinical experience.
- Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices, and estimates.
- Proficient in anesthesia and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
