Veterinary Ophthalmology Technician

South Texas Veterinary Ophthalmology is seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician in Ophthalmology, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our veterinarians in delivering top-notch eye care services.
Key Responsibilities- Assist veterinarians in ophthalmic exams and procedures, including surgeries and diagnostic testing.
- Prepare patients for exams and procedures, including administering medications and collecting lab samples.
- Provide exceptional patient care, including monitoring patients under anesthesia and ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
- Communicate effectively with clients, veterinarians, and other team members to ensure seamless patient care and efficient practice operations.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest ophthalmic techniques and technologies, and participate in continuing education opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Associate's degree or higher in Veterinary Technology or a related field.
- Current certification as a Veterinary Technician (CVT) or Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT).
- Experience working in a veterinary clinic or hospital, preferably in ophthalmology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, veterinarians, and other team members.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
