Veterinary Ophthalmology Technician

At Ethos Veterinary Health, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team in Ophthalmology. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our practice.
Job Summary:We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Technician with a strong background in ophthalmology to assist our board-certified ophthalmologists in providing top-notch care to our patients. Your expertise will be essential in conducting diagnostic procedures, assisting with surgeries, and providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:- Assist veterinarians with examinations, surgeries, and treatments
- Conduct diagnostic procedures to assess eye health and function
- Provide exceptional patient care, including monitoring and attending to patients' needs before, during, and after procedures
- Assist with surgical support, ensuring proper post-operative care
- Inform pet owners about eye conditions, treatments, and follow-up care
- Maintain accurate medical records for each patient
- Ensure ophthalmic equipment is clean and functional
- Provide assistance in urgent situations, such as eye injuries or acute conditions
- Current RVT license in California with 2+ years of clinical experience
- Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices, and estimates
- Proficient in anesthesia
