Nurse Practitioner Preoperative Anesthesia Clinic Specialist

The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to provide clinical and operational support to the Preoperative Anesthesia Clinic and the Anesthesia Pain Team at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital. This is a full-time position that requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Obtain health history and perform physical assessments for patients undergoing surgery
- Identify problems and formulate plans for further diagnostic evaluation, risk stratification, and counseling
- Coordinate inpatient and outpatient care and services as needed
- Work collaboratively with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
- Current national certification as a Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, FNP-BC, ANP-C, ANP-BC)
- California driver's license (CDL) if required for position
- Hold a current and active RN and NP license in California
- Complete a BRN recognized graduate master's degree program as a nurse practitioner
- Obtain an active and/or transferable DEA license to California and provide evidence by 90th day of clinical practice
- Submit enrollment with CMS Medicare and Medicaid through credentialing by first clinical day
- Current AHA BLS
