The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team in the Preoperative Anesthesia Clinic. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide clinical and operational support to both the Preoperative Anesthesia Clinic and the Anesthesia Pain Team at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital.
Responsibilities- Obtain health history and perform physical assessments for patients undergoing surgery
- Identify problems and formulate plans for further diagnostic evaluation, risk stratification, and counseling
- Facilitate coordination of inpatient and outpatient care and services as needed
- Work collaboratively with the Anesthesia Pain Team to provide comprehensive pain management services
- Current national certification as a Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, FNP-BC, ANP-C, ANP-BC)
- California driver's license (CDL) if required for position
- Active RN and NP license in California
- Graduate degree from a BRN-recognized master's program as a nurse practitioner
- Active and/or transferable DEA license to California
- Enrollment with CMS Medicare and Medicaid through credentialing
- AHA BLS certification
