- Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED required, with a minimum of three years of experience working with individuals with disabilities in a healthcare or social service setting.
- Certifications and Clearances: Clear criminal and child abuse history, medical and drug screen, and valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Compassion and Empathy: Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and a positive attitude while supporting independence and promoting participant choice.
- Crisis Intervention and Problem-Solving: Ability to provide crisis intervention, including de-escalation of behavior, and effectively problem-solve with the ability to proactively address issues.
- Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) Certification: Ability to obtain ODP medication administration certification.
Varies, including work training centers, classrooms, art spaces, and community settings within the greater Philadelphia region. May be required to lift and/or physically support program participants independently, with reasonable accommodations made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
