Key Responsibilities:- Leadership and Management: Direct and manage the delivery of nursing services, ensuring they are integrated with business plans and meet or exceed cost, quality, clinical, and utilization standards.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with our Medical Affairs and Planning department to execute the nursing vision and strategic plan across our defined area.
- Quality and Safety: Provide oversight and direction for all associated management functions, ensuring continuous quality and safety of staff and patients, and improvement of all clinical practices, services, and operations.
- Initiative Development: Plan, develop, and/or direct the implementation of initiatives by sharing best practices and standards of care.
- Service Delivery: Direct and/or delegate to managers the appropriate delivery and level of services, ensuring they meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Financial Management: Direct budget management and resource allocation, identifying and implementing strategies to reduce costs and improve quality and safety of care and service.
- Human Resources: Manage and resolve human resource, labor relations, employee, and department safety and risk management issues.
- Compliance: Direct compliance with administrative, legal, and regulatory requirements of governmental and regulatory agencies.
- Project Management: Lead projects and improvement initiatives across the region and within the service area.
- Experience: Minimum five (5) years of nursing experience, in an acute care or complex ambulatory setting, with a minimum of three (3) years of supervisory/leadership experience.
- Education: Bachelors degree in nursing required.
- Credentials: Registered Nurse License (Virginia) within 6 months of hire, Registered Nurse License (Maryland) within 6 months of hire, or Compact License: Registered Nurse within 6 months of hire, and Registered Nurse License (District of Columbia) within 6 months of hire.
- Previous Experience: Previous experience in a managed care setting preferred.
- Education: Masters degree preferred.
