POSITION SUMMARY:

The Sales Lead plays a pivotal role in upholding brand standards and enhancing the teammate experience.

Working closely with the Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager, the Sales Lead serves as the in-store authority for their designated department.

This role emphasizes delivering exceptional customer service while guiding and mentoring teammates.

Key attributes include leading by example, demonstrating empathy, maintaining resilience in challenging situations, and fostering collaboration among team members.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Contribute to building a strong team by participating in in-store interviews and department tours.
  • Promote a people-first culture by engaging with every teammate to cultivate trust and respect.
  • Plan and organize tasks 30 days in advance with the guidance of the Assistant Store Manager, ensuring effective workforce allocation for daily operations.
  • Utilize team strengths to meet brand standards and execute daily tasks efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with merchandising and presentation standards, including floor sets and inventory management.
  • Assist the store leadership team with general supervision in alignment with company policies.
  • Support training initiatives for new and existing teammates, focusing on company procedures and best practices.
  • Prioritize coaching and development, providing hands-on guidance and explaining the rationale behind tasks and processes.
  • Lead by example to align team responsibilities with organizational goals and enhance the shopping experience.
  • Foster an inclusive environment where all teammates and customers feel valued and respected.
  • Adhere to safety, loss prevention, and operational procedures, maintaining confidentiality of company information.
  • Embrace a collaborative approach to support the entire store team.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with golf products is a plus.
  • Physical ability to stand, bend, and lift items weighing 15 to 35 lbs. regularly.
  • Capability to work extended periods on foot.
  • Comfortable working at heights greater than 4 feet.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions for short durations.

COMPENSATION:

The targeted pay range for this position is $18 - $26 per hour, with starting rates varying based on factors such as location and experience. DICK'S Sporting Goods is committed to compliance with all state paid leave requirements and offers a comprehensive benefits package.
