Job Summary:

The Arora Group is seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in a clinical operations role. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for coordinating complex clinical operations and providing direct care to patients in a detention/correctional setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate Clinical Operations: Oversee the daily clinical operations of the facility, ensuring that all patients receive high-quality care and services.
  • Provide Direct Patient Care: Administer medications, perform vital sign checks, and provide wound care and other treatments as ordered by medical providers.
  • Screen and Intake Patients: Conduct prescreening and intake screening of patients, gathering subjective and objective data and referring abnormal findings to medical providers as needed.
  • Collect Laboratory Specimens: Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for processing, and take appropriate action on lab results received.
  • Respond to Medical Emergencies: Respond to medical emergencies and render emergency care to stabilize patients and prevent deterioration.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals: Assist other healthcare professionals in gathering data, providing care, and educating patients.

Requirements:

  • Education: Graduate from a Vocational/Practical Nurse program approved by a State, the District of Columbia, or a U.S. Territory.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in a hospital, medical office, or outpatient clinical setting, with experience in a detention/correctional or residential healthcare setting preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current, full and unrestricted LVN/LPN license by the state in which the duty station is located, or a compact state that allows practice in the state in which the duty station is located. BLS for Healthcare Providers certification through the American Heart Association required.
