We are seeking a skilled and organized scheduler to manage patient appointments and procedures effectively. The primary duties of the scheduler include handling appointment cancellations and rescheduling, coordinating referral appointments, and confirming patient demographic details. It is essential to allocate adequate time for each appointment to ensure a smooth process.

To excel in this role, the scheduler must demonstrate a helpful and professional demeanor when responding to phone inquiries. A successful scheduler will foster strong relationships with referring physicians and healthcare staff.

This role involves direct patient interaction, particularly focusing on immunotherapy treatments.

Candidates should possess excellent interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellation of patient appointments as necessary.
  • Address patient inquiries regarding basic medical tests and procedures.
  • Provide patients with instructions to prepare them for examinations and procedures.
  • Confirm patient appointments efficiently.
  • Coordinate referral appointments and follow-up visits.
  • Verify insurance information accurately.
  • Support Nurse Practitioners with medication refills, orders, and referrals.
  • Assist with home patient injections and other procedures as required.
  • Administer immunotherapy injections as part of patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Valid LPN license in South Carolina.
  • Demonstrated experience in a medical office setting.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance plans.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities.
  • Professional telephone etiquette.
