Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

At Cub Foods, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacists and ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist pharmacists with filling prescriptions, verifying patient information, and gathering necessary demographic and insurance data.
  • Process prescriptions, including verifying and gathering necessary information, contacting prescribers for refill authorization, and inputting prescription codes and customer data into the computer.
  • Maintain sales records, ensure confidentiality of records, and maintain knowledge of drug names.
  • Fill out insurance forms as necessary, assist with measuring dosages and labeling containers, and order, check-in, and stock prescription medications.
  • Process prescription returns and maintain familiarity with all product, product location, and bottle location.
Requirements:
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and other employees.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and make sound judgments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to operate and use various office equipment, including personal computers, telephones, and fax machines.
  • Ability to work extended hours, including weekends and evenings.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
