Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Cub. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting our pharmacists and ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy department.

• Assist pharmacists in filling prescriptions, verifying patient information, and gathering necessary demographic and insurance data.
• Process prescriptions, including inputting prescription codes, printing labels, and maintaining sales records.
• Ensure confidentiality of patient records and maintain knowledge of drug names.
• Assist with measuring dosages, labeling containers, and ordering, checking-in, and stocking prescription medication.
• Process prescription returns and accurately process customers' orders, ensuring price accuracy and product knowledge.
• Follow proper currency handling and cash register procedures, notify the Pricing Coordinator of department price discrepancies, and maintain familiarity with all product, product location, and bottle location.
• Ensure positive customer relations, properly greet and thank customers, provide prompt and courteous service, and assist customers with product location, questions, and refer to pharmacists as needed.
• Comply with standard operating procedures in handling and dispensing of hazardous drugs.
• Perform department receiving and stocking, including filling, rotating, and straightening shelf stock, properly maintaining ends and displays, pulling back stock, and verifying invoices with product received and filling necessary paperwork.

• Good judgment and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to communicate through two-way verbal and written communication (speech, hearing, and writing).
• Ability to operate and use various office equipment, including personal computers, telephones, and fax machines.
• Ability to work extended hours, including weekends and evenings.
• Ability to write and see things in close proximity (reading distance).
• Ability to comprehend written and verbal communication.
• Ability to read/view computer screens for extensive periods of time.
